Medical Services Continues to Receive Endorsements in the Caribbean

Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce  that  that testing completed using VScan HIV test kits in Haiti showed that the VScan HIV 1&2 test kits were 100% accurate. Medical Services has been informed that the VScan HIV test kit will be used in Haiti starting January, 2005.

The report received indicates that the advantages of using the VScan test kits are numerous, especially in undeveloped countries. The report refers to the fact that the VScan HIV test kits require no refrigeration which is very important in countries where there are constant electrical interruptions resulting in a shut down of refrigeration equipment. The previous tests used in Haiti require at minimum some sort of mixing which can be a source of contamination. The report also refers to the fact that in field trips for epidemiological studies, the kits are easily transported and results are obtained immediately without having to go back to home base to perform the tests. This means that there is no requirement to collect blood samples that require handling. The report summarizes by saying that the VScan HIV 1&2 test kits are very affordable and well suited for poorer countries like Haiti.

The Company has received many letters of endorsement from countries in the Caribbean. These letters combined with the test results achieved in the Caribbean and the United States, plus the approvals that have been received worldwide will be used in our submission for overall approval of the kits for the entire Caribbean through the regulatory body CAREC.

The permanent population in the Caribbean is 14,000,000 people with a transient population of approximately 24,000,000 people per year. As the accuracy and ease of use of the VScan test kits becomes known in the Caribbean, it is reasonable to expect that the Company will sell up to 2,000,000 VScan HIV test kits per year.
