Medical Services Completes Evaluation
of Its VScan Dengue Fever Test Kit

Medical Services International Inc. is pleased to announce that it has had an opportunity to evaluate its Dengue Fever rapid test kits in a clinical setting and then re-evaluate the same test kits in a laboratory setting. The kits were originally used in a clinical setting by medical staff. Once the kits were used they were then re-evaluated in the lab to check for accuracy. This test took place in south east Asia. The results showed that the VScan Dengue Fever kits were 100% accurate with 100% sensitivity.

There are 4 different strains of Dengue Fever and the results showed that the VScan test kit has the ability to detect all 4 of the different strains. Infection from one strain of Dengue Fever does not give immunity from the 3 other strains. This is the reason that it is important that the VScan test kit have the ability to detect all 4 strains.

The test data obtained from this particular study will be important in the marketing of the Dengue Fever test kits.

Dengue Fever is transmitted by mosquitoes and depending on the strain can be fatal. Successful treatment of Dengue Fever depends on early detection. The normal test for Dengue Fever takes up to a week or more to get test results. The VScan Dengue Fever kit gives results in under 20 minutes.
