Medical Services Begins Shipping VScan HIV test Kits to Indonesia

EDMONTON, Canada, Sept. 17, 2004 -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has it has begun shipping the VScan HIV rapid test kits into Indonesia.

The Company has started to ship kits to its distributor in Indonesia who will handle the overall distribution of the VScan HIV test kits. The distributor is a large pharmaceutical company currently supplying medical supplies through its well established network in Indonesia. Based on the infection rate for HIV reported in the media, it is reasonable to expect to deliver up to 500,000 HIV test kits in the first year, increasing to 1,500,000 kits in the second year. Regulatory authorities are also interested in the Companies' VScan TB test kit.

The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, easy to use, test for the screening of HIV 1& 2 subgroup O, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), Dengue Fever and West Nile. The kits cannot be sold in Canada.
