Medical Services to Supply VScan TB Test Kits to China

EDMONTON, Canada, Sept. 23, 2004 -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that as a result of the excellent test results achieved during the experimental testing of the VScan TB test kit done in various hospitals in China that the Company has received an order for 500,000 VScan TB test kits that will be distributed to the hospitals in several provinces in China. Distribution will start as soon as approval of the kit is received. The Company has been informed that approval will be received very quickly. The VScan TB test kits will be produced in China in the facilities of our Chinese joint venture partner. The Company feels that this initial order of the VScan TB test kits will be followed by several larger orders as the speed, accuracy and the fact that the VScan TB test kits give no false positives becomes known to the medical community in China.

TB infects an estimated 8.7 million people per year and kills 2 million a year. It is spread by airborne bacteria that settles into the lungs and causes long-term infection. With early detection, TB is treatable. The VScan TB test kit only measures active TB and gives no false positives.
