Medical Services  Receives Endorsement in Central America

EDMONTON, Canada, Oct. 5, 2004 -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has received a letter of endorsement of the VScan HIV rapid test kit from Central America. As a result of the testing completed and the results achieved, the Medical Director of a major hospital in Belize that does all the laboratory work for central, western and southern areas of Belize has issued a letter endorsing the VScan HIV test kit. The letter of endorsement confirms the ease of use and accuracy compared to other kits. The letter specifically refers to the early detection (within 28 to 40 days) of the HIV virus as a result of the VScan test kit detecting the IgM antigen whereas other kits just start detecting HIV at the IgG level which does not show up in tests until 90 to 120 days after becoming infected with HIV. This early detection of HIV will ultimately be very important in the fight against the spread of HIV.

The endorsement received as well as the test results that the Company is getting from independent results will be instrument in our marketing plan for South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
