Medical Services Receives Approval to Export VScan Test Kits

EDMONTON, Canada, Oct. 25, 2004 -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has received final approval to export the VScan test kits from its Shanghai production facility. It is reasonable to expect that the Shanghai facility will manufacture and ship up to 1.0 million VScan test kits in the next six (6) months into Southeast Asia. This will represent approximately 3.0 million dollars in gross revenue. This number is based on existing orders and orders currently being negotiated by the Shanghai facility. This does not include orders received from within China itself that cannot be shipped until final approval is received by regulatory authorities. The Company continues to work as quickly as possible in regard to regulatory approval of its VScan test kits within China so that the existing orders for China can be processed.

The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, easy to use, test for the screening of HIV 1& 2 subgroup O, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), Dengue Fever and West Nile. The kits cannot be sold in Canada.
